Fiddler/vocalist Bobby Atcheson, born April 1, 1920, near Dallas, Georgia, was a popular performer on the WSB "Barn Dance" radio program. Working on the show from 1944-46, Atcheson quickly became one of the program's most well-known musicians. On Atlanta's WATL, he and his wife, Jane, were featured as a vocal duo.
